SAFETY IN THE LABORATORY AND PRIVATE LIFE.

Many universities and colleges require proof of insurance to use of their laboratories.
For a small fee, you can protect yourself from the financial consequences of damage incidents.

Damages must be reported within 14 days of occurrence via email to (markus.lorenz@signal-iduna.net), even if no invoice is available or the exact amount of damage is not yet known.

Coverage of Professional Liability Insurance:

  • Activities, e.g. damage and handling-related incidents in the laboratory

    (Damage to laboratory equipment is limited to EUR 5,000 per incidents).

  • Activities involving radioactive substances.
  • Global coverage.
  • A general deductible of 50 EUR per incident applies.
  • The cost is only 39 EUR per semester.
  • Private Liability Insurance included with no deductible.

Insurance Coverage Details:

  • 10 million EUR total for personal injury and property damage.
  • 100.000 EUR for financial losses.
  • 20.000 EUR for the loss of third-party keys.

Validity of laboratory insurance:

Start Date: Upon receipt of payment in our account (but not before the official terms of 01.04. or 01.10. of each year)!
End Date: The end of the requested period (September 30 or March 31 of each year).
No cancellation is necessary – there is no automatic renewal.
